If you love the thrill of creating a stash of hand-painted papers to use for special projects, this is the workshop for you! MaryBeth Shaw has developed a considerable repertoire of techniques (including some brand new ones that she has never taught before) that she will be sharing in this fast-paced, action-packed class. In just one afternoon you can quickly paint a plethora of papers and build quite a nice supply of one of a kind materials. Marybeth will demo lots of techniques from how to save your whites to mono printing to abstract design to more traditional combing and layering. You will rotate through "palette stations" so each person will have a chance to try a variety of color combinations. So step outside the box, release your inner inhibitions and immerse yourself in paint (not literally...at least not in the classroom...unless you're prepared to clean...).
