We'll be hosting a little welcome back soiree for Nancy. Join us for some light refreshments and fun. Nancy will be giving us a taste of her technique savvy-ness via a delicious demo. She will also be signing copies of her book "Texture Effects" - a must have for your collection. If you'd like to attend just give us a heads up so we have enough treats to go around.

IrRESISTible Elegance








Explore the use of resist ink to create visual texture, increased depth and sophistication. Techniques demonstrated and explored will include monochromatic design with metallic/pearlescent highlights, paper dyeing, partial resist with archival inks and masking as these pertain to the basic non-brayer resist technique. Key design elements and color scheme will round out the class.
Student Supplies: students wil need to bring 3-5 dye ink pads (darker colors provide more contrast), heat tool, and several themed stamps in varying sizes. Optional: clear resist or Versamark pad, Encore Metallic or pearlescent Brilliance pads, and basic tool kit.

Rock n' Roll Brayered Surface Design


This technique-based class will focus on helping your brayer live a more productive life. A variety of papers, mediums, and colorant combinations will mingle to provide interesting and varied surface design. Finish with stamping or use created designs as-is in your cardmaking, altered art, ATCs, journaling, or as the basis for unique wall art.
Student Supplies: students will need to bring a 4" rubber brayer, scissors, Black StazOn pad, coordinating patterned paper, glue stick. Optional: favorite stamps

Paper Tapestry: the Fine Art of Paper Weaving








Tell a story, create a mood, or simply enjoy colorplay as you create a unique piece of woven, frameable art. Handmade paper textured with paint and motifs becomes the backgrop for a myriad of embellishment choices including diverse fibers, ribbons, beads and brass charms. The result will be an art piece that is uniquely yours to enjoy or share.

Student Supplies: small paintrbrush for gluing, a 1/2" or 3/4" flat paintbrush, scissors, Xacto knife and cutting mat, red liner tape or the like. Optional: favorite beads, charms
